For matters of Simplification and better understanding we will name on this website, “THE ORGANIZATION” to refer to any of the mentioned websites. In the case of this website, it will be https://acupuncturistswithoutborders.org, “AWBIS®”, or simply: “The Organization”.

In case of the exercise of the right of Opposition, the holder Member with or without charge, will understand that, in case of requesting the right of Opposition, he accepts that he will not be able to hold a position again (if he held it and in case of members, they will not be able to return to join until after 2 calendar years since your Opposition was accepted, losing each and every one of the benefits that it provided until the moment of its cancellation.
The use of any of the Acronyms, Names, Logos, Nomenclatures, Slogan, etc., “The Organization”, and any act that may indicate and lead to confusion in the community may be grounds for Legal Action for the Use of Material Registered under Copyright or Industrial Property Rights, with the fines and Penalties Established by Law. Without prejudice to “The Organization”. This by right may, inform in newsletters, or on any of its websites that the Member no longer has any membership with “The Organization”, alerting individuals to any illicit that may be committed on our behalf by the Member.
It is important to mention that the exercise of any of these rights is not a prerequisite or prevents the exercise of another right.
The Privacy Committee will respond to your Request by email, within a period of 20 (twenty) business days counted from the receipt of the request being sent.
In the event that the Request is appropriate, the response may be sent via email. “The Organization”, may request, in order to give you a response, documentation for collation, in the email described above, original of the documents that you sent along with your request, within 5 (five) business days that they are required.
If after this term you have not submitted the documents, your request will be archived and the Privacy Notice will remain in force until a new request is submitted.
When the request is appropriate, and the corresponding checks have been carried out with respect to the person regarding the exercise of ARCO Rights, the terms to carry out the request will be the following:
For Data Access: within a period of 15 days from the affirmative response made by the “Privacy Committee”
For the Rectification of the Data: within a period of 15 days from the affirmative response made by the “Privacy Committee”
Cancellation or Opposition of the Data: a block will be made first, from the moment the required documentation was checked, where access to personal data will be restricted to everyone until there is a response to the request , either affirmative or negative, in the first case within a period of 15 days from the affirmative response made by the “Privacy Committee” and in the second case they will be unblocked to continue with the treatment .
The terms referred to in the previous paragraphs may be extended only once for an equal period if necessary and with prior notification made by the “Privacy Committee”.
“The Organization” may deny the exercise of ARCO Rights, in the following cases:
When you are not the owner of the personal data, or cannot prove the representation of the owner. When your personal data does not appear in the database of “The Organization”, for various reasons, including non-renewal, having passed 180 calendar days since your Credential and Membership expired, so we proceeded according to Rules and Regulations when your files and membership were terminated. When the Rights of a Third Party are violated. When there is a Legal Impediment or the Resolution of a Competent Authority that Restricts your ARCO Rights.
In Case of Cancellation. There will be a verification, to verify that the Personal Data, have not been subject to the realization of a Fraud or Illicit, Falsification of Documents, Certificates, Titles, Diplomas, Extortion, or any other offense, towards the People, and the Company General. The Organization, its volunteer members. When the verification is correct, the Cancellation or Opposition will proceed.
The Refusal may be partial, in which case “The Organization” will make the Access, Rectification, Cancellation or Opposition in the appropriate part.
The exercise of the “ARCO Rights” will be free, but if you do not comply with it in the first attempt, or do not complete the data required to verify your identity, and repeat the request in a period of less than 365 days, the costs will be three days of Minimum wage, in Mexico City, plus applicable taxes, unless there are substantial modifications to the Privacy Notice that motivate new Requests for the Exercise of ARCO Rights. You must cover the justified expenses of reproduction in copies, scans or other formats.
Also, we inform you that you have the right to initiate a Data Protection Procedure before the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Data Protection (www.inai.mx) within 15 days from the date you receive the response of “The Organization”, or as of the end of the period of 20 days from the date of receipt of your request to exercise rights. If it is carried out outside the established deadlines “The Organization in its full legal and regulatory right will proceed to cancel all ties with you, preventing a new reincorporation in the future.
CALIFORNIA USERS AND MEMBERS
If you are a California resident, in addition to the rights set out above, you have the right to request information from us about the way we share your personal information.
AWBIS®, part of ASFI® International, or any part of the Organization; does not do direct marketing, or third-party marketing.
Your data could only be shared within the Organization, provided that you have contacted us, Registered as a Member.
California law States that you have the right to send us a Request to the designated address and receive the following information: the data that we have about you, during the previous calendar year, the names and addresses of the same Organization where your data is protected, or where they are used to prepare your Member Credentials, or Certificate (if applicable).
Your data is not shared, sold, or transferred outside the Organization.
The nature of our Organization is to Protect the Data we receive from Our Members, and we do not market any third-party products.
You have the Right to receive a copy of this information in a standardized format, indicating what information we have about you.
You can decide what you want to do with your Personal Data.
But you must bear in mind that: the Cancellation or Deletion of your Data will terminate the relationship that may exist between you, whether or not you are a Member and AWBIS®-ASFI® Acupuncturists Without Borders International Non profit Organization.

UNIONS, MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS BY THE ORGANIZATION
As already announced in the policies, from ASFI® “Acupuncturists Without Borders International ASFI. A.C”, is an integral part of the UNION AND MERGER of 4 (four) International Central Offices.
These are: ASFI® International, or “Acupuntores Sin Fronteras Internacional” ASFI AC. (matrix), AWBIS® International, or “Acupuncturists Without Borders International Society”, ASFWHO® International, or “Acupuntores Sin Fronteras – World Humanitarian Organization”, ASFLAT® Latin America, “Acupuncturists Without Borders of Latin America”, FEDASF® International Federation, o “Federación Internacional de Acupuntores Sin Fronteras y Sociedades de Acupuntura” and IFAWBAS® “International Federation of Acupuncturists Without Borders and Acupuncture Societies”.
Despite the various Names of all these Centrals, it is a UNIQUE and INDIVISIBLE Organization with its different areas.
It was voted, in 2016, for a single government area with the Directors of each Central plus the president, vice president, and world secretaries, in 2018 to 2019 the New Regulations are finalized and created, what today we know as: UDB™ or “Unified Directors Board” (in English) or JDU® ” Juntad Directiva Unificada” (in Spanish) or CAU® (for Portuguese, French and Italian). Unified Directors Board that functions as a single NGO.
The Board Members, with 51% of the votes, may submit to future mergers, or new acquisitions, apart from those that are already established as “projects”.
The Personal Data of the new acquisitions or mergers, could be among the assets that will be transferred to us, in which case this policy will be valid in the transfer of that data, and the transferred users may exercise their ARCO rights.
You acknowledge and agree that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any assets acquired or merged, may continue to Process your Personal Data as set out in this Privacy Policy.
MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRIVACY NOTICE
“The Organization” “Acupuncturists Without Borders International Society”, AWBIS® (https://acupuncturistswithoutborders.org), an integral part of ASFI® International, reserves the right to make modifications or updates to this privacy notice at any time, with the understanding that any modification to it will be made known to you through the publication of a notice on all the websites of “The Organization”, so we recommend that you check it frequently; said modifications will be made accordingly and for compliance with the applicable legislation, and if there are variations or modifications in the International Rules and Regulations of “The Organization”.
